Leon Anderson Discovery Class

Facilitator: Dianne Kellison
Resource: Hebrews for Everyone by N.T. Wright

The Leon Anderson Discovery Class generally centers their studies on scripture.  The class is currently studying the book of Hebrews using N.T. Wright’s Hebrews for Everyone.  This challenging New Testament letter is made accessible through Wright’s examples and explanations so that students can understand the powerful message of Hebrews.

Mary Thomas Class

Resource: Cokesbury’s Quarterly Adult Bible Studies

This quarterly publication focuses on a different theme each quarter.  Each lesson is based on a scripture passage.  This quarter’s theme is “Inspired by God” with units:  I. The Rich Literature of the Bible, II. Wisdom, and III. Heroes and Anti-Heroes.

Kids Connection

Resource: Cokesbury – Celebrate Wonder Curriculum for All Ages

Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday School curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. It helps them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourages creativity.

RFour.org Studies

Facilitators: John & Arleen Taninecz

Lessons were created with these long-term educational objectives in mind:

  • Increase Biblical literacy. Each lesson is centered around a Bible story.
  • Highlight the universal and relevant themes in the Bible stories.
  • Invite personal sharing as a way to strengthen community.

Lessons are meant to encourage students and teachers to share of themselves while also drawing connections between their lives and the lives of the Bible story characters.

Book Study

Join us Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. for this six-week book study on August 30th.  We will start at 6:00 p.m. with an occasional meal followed by an in-person/Zoom discussion.
