Resource: Life Together: Classic Exploration of Christian Community by Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Life Together explores the concept of Christian Community. The author, renowned Christian minister and seminary professor Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote this book in the late 1930s in Nazi Germany. The book gives practical advice on how life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups. Because of the Nazi occupation in Germany at the time, many of Bonhoeffer’s writings were not published until after execution in 1945. Chapters include “Community,” The Day with Others,” “The Day Alone,” “Ministry,” and “Confessions and Communion.” Our Connection Group time consists of reading and discussing the topics and how they can apply to our lives today.
