Resource: Cokesbury – Celebrate Wonder Curriculum for All Ages

Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday School curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. It helps them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourages creativity.

Facilitators:  John & Arleen Taninecz

Lessons were created with these long-term educational objectives in mind:

• Increase Biblical literacy. Each lesson is centered around a Bible story.
• Highlight the universal and relevant themes in the Bible stories.
• Invite personal sharing as a way to strengthen community.

Lessons are meant to encourage students and teachers to share of themselves while also drawing connections between their lives and the lives of the Bible story characters.

To build a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body.

Sunday, April 21st @ Noon until 2PM– Bowling at Bowlero (12100 Kilarney Dr., Fredericksburg, VA)  The group will meet there.  Food included.

Sunday, May 26th – Top Golf (2308 Westwood Ave., Richmond, VA) Food not included.  Leave Tabernacle at 11:45, returning close to 4PM.

Kids in K-5th grades are invited to join us during 10:30 a.m. worship where we learn that Jesus loves all the children and that children are an important part of God’s plan. We learn through hands-on service projects how awesome it is to love our neighbors.

Children’s ministry K-5th grade gathers on Wednesday evenings. A light dinner is at 6:00 p.m. and class starts at 6:30 p.m.
